This week I learned how to do 2D animation in Blender using Grease Pencil, and Mograph in Maya using MASH. Then I thought, why not try to combine these two things.. so I did.
A quick walkcycle test with the Beefy rig to test out Maya 2016 Ext 2 for animation. Rig by Ugur Ulvi Yetiskin.
Trying out the new mograph tools in Maya 2016 Ext 2 to get a handle on how they work. I can see them being cool for adding elements to character shots too.
About time I started exploring this 360 rendering thing, I tried out a GearVR headset recently and was very excited by the possibilities.
Super rough test here just to figure out the mechanics of how this works for but it’s a start..
Monster character was a rough animation test I did with a character I rigged for O-Motion, used with permission.
Click and drag on the video to see monsters all around you!
A little body-mechanics exercise I did after work for fun.
Another small update for bhGhost, this one allows you to make the outlines much thicker for when your character is very big in the scene and it’s difficult to see them.
As usual it’s available on my Maya downloads page.
